Day 7, July 19

On Sunday we walked to the store again. Kaleb excitedly exclaimed-‘a person from Kansas!’ For those of you that don’t know us too well, our family lived in Kansas for the greater part of the last 30 years. Russ and I met at Kansas State University. What are the odds that we would see a person in Baños, Ecuador wearing a Kansas State Wildcat t-shirt while shopping for groceries? 1: 1,000,000?? This gentleman participated in some type of educational exchange for one month in 2012 at Kansas State in Manhattan, Kansas. What a seemingly small world.

We’re staying in the valley in Baños, very humid. Our townhome is all concrete and has mold:( We considered moving but figured most places have mold here. It rains everyday for at least a few minutes. We’re going to Quito on the 11th for the next phase of the adoption.
